One of the biggest poker rooms in the UK will host the MPN Poker Tour this summer (July 20-23) when the MPNPT hits Manchester. While British players will appreciate the opportunity to take part in poker festivals around the globe, it will make a welcome change to see the tour return to home soil. Those from other countries will also be able to see how poker tournaments are organised in the UK, and no better place to show them how it’s done than the Grosvenor Casino in Manchester which, as well as being the ultimate poker venue, also boasts excellent facilities that will add to the experience.
As usual, we’ll provide poker fans with the most comprehensive, player-friendly qualifying structure so that, whatever the size of your bankroll, you’ll get every chance to win a fantastic €1,500 package – in fact the satellite quest starts at just €1! You can even bag a package in our nightly, €500 Guaranteed Flush Royale (only €3 buy-in) by hitting a royal flush.
And the package is well worth winning because it consists of the £550 entry to the £150,000 Guaranteed Main Event, entry to the £110 MPNPT Manchester Poker Cup, four nights’ accommodation (including breakfast) for two at the Park Inn by Radisson, €200 towards travel and expenses and an invite to the Players Welcome Party…
If the presence of #Team32Red at the Welcome Party is anything to go by these days, it’s a sign that our players now regularly qualify for MPN Poker Tour events. We want to maintain our presence so that true poker enthusiasts can continue to enjoy the thrill of big money poker and, with this in mind, will endeavour to keep providing you with the best satellite structure around.
Good luck, remember to have fun along the way, and hopefully we’ll see you in Manchester…
Even those who’ve never played a hand of poker have heard of a royal flush and are aware of how special it is. It’s so special at 32Red Poker, in fact, that when you hit a royal flush in our popular nightly €500 guaranteed Flush Royale tournament you’re rewarded with a €1,500 package to a MPN Poker Tour event.
This is what happened to Andrew Talbot (alias: Drew0480) in the latest edition of Flush Royale. Andrew, from Suffolk in the UK, has been a 32Red player for nearly 13 years, and he’ll be wearing Team 32Red colours in the Estonian capital of Tallinn in August for the €150,000 guaranteed poker festival. The €1,500 package includes the €550 buy-in for the Main Event, €100 buy-in for the €15,000 side event, four nights for two at the Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel and €250 towards travel/expenses – a great return considering that the buy-in for the Flush Royale tournament is a mere €3!
If you’re wondering how the royal flush came about, Andrew was dealt Ah Jh and after raising pre-flop found himself calling a short-stacked opponent’s all-in (with 10s 9d). The flop came 5c 10h Kh and ‘all’ that was keeping Andrew from a big money poker trip to the beautiful Tallinn this summer was, appropriately, the Qh – a card that has graced countless songs, books and films over the years. The Turn brought the meaningless 2s and it was all down to the river which, luckily for the recent winner of a €4,000 guaranteed Turbo Deep Stack Rebuy tournament, was indeed the necessary Qh, and the royal flush was complete. Easy game, poker.
Andrew’s thoughts: “…wonderful hand and a great poker site to play on. This is my fourth and – believe it or not – the smallest payout! One on this poker site and three in the casino which, I hasten to add, I have attended after winning the first Royal Flush and a massive payout of $166,000 in 2005. If the dealer had qualified in that hand my payout would have been huge as I was betting 65 ante and 130 payout line. Just happy to have got it again!”
Remember that there are various ways to qualify for the MPN Poker Tour. As well as the excitement of Flush Royale we have a ridiculously bankroll-friendly satellite structure in which it’s possible to start your quest for as little as 25 cents! To see the full schedule go to Tournaments > Satellites in the Poker Lobby.
A key strategy in satellite tournaments is to keep focused on the fact that the requirements to qualify for one of the prizes on offer are quite different from standard tourneys, where the prize distribution can be quite top heavy. If for example, there are 10 €200 satellite tickets up for grabs, then 10th prize is worth just as much as 1st despite the possibly considerable difference in final chip counts. The trick is to not be too desperate to top the field but instead to maintain a workable stack and remain in contention.
Have fun, and good luck!
Tallinn in the Sun
Thanks to a very bankroll-friendly online satellite structure to the MPN Poker Tour, 32Red Poker players can combine the exciting experience of live tournament poker with a spot of tourism in some of Europe’s most interesting, picturesque cities. We’re very happy to be part of a popular tour that has come such a long way (literally!) in such a short time, and if you’ve not been trying to qualify for previous installments you’ve certainly been missing out on fantastic opportunities…
After a successful visit to Tallinn last year, the tour returns to the Estonian capital this summer (11th-14th August) and, with Team 32Red already taking shape in the form of a number of qualifiers, we want our players to make the most of our flexible satellite process. Given how popular Tallinn proved with the Team 32Red contingent during particularly cold and icy weather, it will be interesting to see this charming city in the sun…
Big Money Poker
The Main Event of the festival will have a guaranteed prize fund of €125,000, so it’s well worth making the effort to earn your place at the tables at the Olympic Park Casino. As well as the €550 seat for the tournament you can win a bumper €1,500 package which includes the €550 Main Event buy-in, €100 buy-in to a Side Event with a prize pool of €15,000, four nights’ accommodation (including breakfast) at the Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel for you and a guest and €250 towards travel and expenses! You’ll also be invited to the Players Welcome Party…
Qualify for pennies
It’s possible to buy in or even buy the €1,500 package directly, but there are numerous ways to qualify – even the most recreational low stakes hobbyist can easily throw their hat in the ring because first level satellites start as low as 25 cents! For more information about what kind of satellites are on offer go to Tournaments > Satellites in the poker lobby and you’ll find all the relevant tournament listings.
Remember that satellite tournaments might require a different approach to standard tournaments, not least because you could be playing to win one of several tickets, or even seats or packages – of course this means that when there are, for example, 10 €200 satellite tickets on offer, 10th place is just as good as 1st place, so there’s no need to win the tournament. Indeed, in this scenario you could win one of the target prizes – including a €1,500 package – with a fraction of the total chips that someone else ends up with, so patience and a more solid approach than usual can pay dividends.
The Bad Beat Jackpot is both progressive and extremely player-friendly thanks to there being a payout structure that even rewards you for playing at the same blind level as the winning hand. Make sure you remember to opt in by clicking on the BB icon, after which you’re eligible for a share of the money.
The most recent hit was at a €50 max table, with the jackpot standing at €8,695.10 – four of a kind, nines, lost to four tens, and the hand ‘winner’ (Skalkos) pocketed €1,847.70 for opting in. Meanwhile, seven players had opted in across the stake, each winning €108.68…
Don’t miss out – opt in!
If you still don’t opt in to the Bad Beat Jackpot, then the fact there’s been yet another hit might change your mind – especially when all you need to do to be eligible for a share of the booty is to click on the BB icon. Remember that merely playing at the same blinds level as the jackpot hand is enough to qualify for a share of the spoils.
The latest hit (at an Anonymous €50 max table), with the progressive jackpot at €27,304.46, saw the same hand lose again! Four of a kind – 7777 – lost to mrbad’s JJJJ (earning him a cool €6,143.50). 7Barada777 won €3,413 just for being at the key table!
Meanwhile, only two players had opted in at the same level, thus earning each of them a tidy €682.61 for their forward planning.
Don’t miss out – opt in!
The progressive Bad Beat jackpot is absolutely worth getting involved in, given the potential gains even for those merely playing at the same blind level as the winning hand. All you need to do when playing at these cash tables is opt in by clicking on the BB icon.
Those who opted in during the last few days were well rewarded, with the jackpot being hit twice. On an Anonymous €100 max table, with the running total at €45,475.59, 2222 ‘lost’ to KKKK. Away from the main table only six players had opted in, earning each of them a juicy €757.92… Meanwhile, at an Anonymous €50 max table – the jackpot at €42,931.91 – 3333 was beaten by a devilish 6666, but the ‘loser’ (karralhinho) wasn’t complaining because his share of the jackpot was a cool €18,603.82! This time only two other players had opted in, thus finding themselves €1,431.06 the richer.

Sorry guys, I won’t be home for a while…
I am currently in the air between Paris and Prague, where the next installment of the EPT starts tomorrow, in what has become an unlikely and unexpected poker road trip. Though it is a lot of fun to travel to these kind of places, I am already missing the people and comforts of home. For the first time, I can feel a tiny bit of sympathy for the older English guys, and the way things used to be.
