James McGeorge – alias: Istnotluck – achieved a very impressive feat this weekend, battling his way through our winner-takes-all, 379-player field in the Saturday Surprise to win a €2,000 Irish Open package.

Emerging with every single chip in a big tournament is already a difficult enough task but, apart from the fact that James lived up to his tongue in cheek alias by combining whatever luck he enjoyed with a significant helping of skill, his victory is all the more praiseworthy… This is because James (of Llangollen, Wales), who has been a 32Red regular for almost five years was – as well as navigating a path through the dangerous virtual jungle that is tournament poker– providing a running commentary of his exploits on Twitch!

“Best moment playing poker in 10-15 years not for the value, not because it was for money, but because I live streamed it, and nailed it the whole way, brilliant night, looking forward to Dublin, feeling sick for Iraiseu for his brilliant play for hours on end was awesome and fearless, but I earned it through beats and experience and that’s why poker really should be considered a sport.” – James McGeorge

Perhaps the self-reflective process of commentating on his own play proved beneficial in terms of focus rather than detrimental – either way, James – who was part of Team 32Red in Vienna – now finds himself with an all-inclusive package to the €500,000 Irish Open in Dublin, which is one of the most prestigious No Limit fixtures on the global calendar.

If you want to see how he did it you can watch his broadcast here.

Meanwhile, it’s possible to win your way to this big money event via numerous avenues at 32Red Poker, and the qualification process is very bankroll-friendly!
