Poker Tournaments

1. At any Level (satellite or online final), any player can buy-in for cash + fee or loyalty points.
2. Players do have the option to purchase a direct buy-in to the event for a full package for €4,300, OR an ECOSTT lite package (tournament buy-ins only) for €3,100 OR to buy-in to the €550 Side Event and/or €120 Bounty Tournament via the MPN Lobby. All players must have an MPN account and can only buy-in online. Microgaming reserves the right to cap the number of players in each live Tournament.
3. Any individual player can only win one package to the ECOSTT.
4. Microgaming’s package will include: €400 for travel & transfer expenses, €300 spending money (to be handed out at the players’ welcome party on Thursday 17 November); 4 nights’ hotel accommodation at the Hilton Malta Hotel; and the entrance fee into the ECOSTT, on 17 to 20 November 2011 (the “Package”).
5. No cash alternative will be offered if players’ win a package but do not require hotel accommodation.
6. Players’ hotel accommodation will be booked for 4 nights on a bed and breakfast basis for the player plus one guest. Players will be responsible for all additional charges to their room – internet, mini-bar, etc. Players will be expected to present a credit card on arrival at the hotel to cover any extras.
7. Players must Players must supply all requested hotel information – double or twin room, name of guest etc, by Friday 4th November 2011 at the latest, or they will be allocated their hotel room based on the minimum information.
8. Players will be responsible for organising their own airport transfers to and from the hotel.
9. No cash awards will be made from Satellite game seat wins to the next level. All prizes are entries to the next level of the competition with the exception of the final, the prize for which is a Package to each of the winners. The only possible way for a player to be paid a cash award is if there are insufficient entries in a satellite or at the final to cover the cost of additional seats to the next level. In this instance, the nature and value of any award will be determined by Microgaming whose decision shall be final.
10. Microgaming reserves the right to buy-back entire Packages from players who have won a final full package for the ECOSTT. The price payable by Microgaming to buy-back a Package will be €4,300.
11. It is the individual winner's responsibility to ensure that all travel documents - Passport and Visa - if a Visa is required, are in order and to obtain any required travel and medical insurance. Lack of proper travel documents may be grounds for disqualification.
12. By entering the ECOSTT, Online Final or Satellites or live event, players agree that their real names, aliases and images can be used for promotional purposes. Photographs will be taken by MPN during the ECOSTT live event.
13. By entering the ECOSTT, Online Final or Satellites, players agree that, should they win a Package, they will wear MPN Operator apparel (hats and/or T-Shirts) provided to them and will wear the apparel in accordance with the instructions of Microgaming management. No non- MPN branded apparel can be worn at the live ECOSTT tournaments.
14. Awarding of any and all prizes is at the sole discretion of Microgaming management and any decisions taken by management in this regard are final.
15. The winner of a seat at the ECOSTT, Online Satellites and/or Final tournament cannot sell, trade, assign or in any way transfer such a seat to another person, and Microgaming will not award cash in lieu of a seat at the ECOSTT, Online Tournament or live Final.
16. As in all tournaments, players may not sit out. Players who are not present shall be "blinded off" and their hands folded until they have no more chips and are eliminated.
17. All satellite games shall be Single or Multi-Table, No-limit Hold'em tables, following standard Microgaming rules.
18. The prizes will be displayed in the tournament lobby as registration closes for each tournament.
19. Decisions as to players' eligibility to enter the ECOSTT, Online Final and/or Satellites and to remain in and compete in same are at the sole discretion of Microgaming management and any decisions taken by management in this regard are final.
20. Microgaming management reserves the right to deny entry to ECOSTT, Online Final and Satellites, and live event, and/or remove a player or disqualify a player from same and any decisions taken by management in this regard are final.
21. Microgaming management reserves the right to change the rules and/or structure of the ECOSTT, Online Final and/or Satellite Tournaments, and the live event at its sole discretion. Any decisions taken by management in this regard are final.
22. The player must be of legal age in all jurisdictions concerned and must be at least 18 years or older to attend the ECOSTT. If they are Maltese citizens, they must be at least 25 years or older to attend the ECOSTT.
23. Microgaming shall in no way be liable for any injuries, losses, damages or expenses suffered or incurred by any winner of a Package as a direct or indirect result of accepting the Package and participating in the live ECOSTT.
24. During the live ECOSTT event, players are expected to adhere to the Rules on the website – www.ecostt.eu. Any breach of the rules may lead to disqualification in the ECOSTT event. Any decisions taken by management in this regard are final.
25. €1m bonus promotion – as part of the ECOSTT Malta 2011, Microgaming Poker Network is offering the opportunity for the winner of the ECOSTT Main Event to win an additional cash bonus dependent on specific criteria. All Rules relating to this promotion will be shown on the ECOSTT website.
26. In order to be eligible to win €1m, players must have an account with Ladbrokes, Unibet or NordicBet. They must have raked €20 per day while playing on the Network for at least 15 days from 1st to 31st October 2011. They must have won a full package to the ECOSTT or purchased a direct buy-in package to the event. They must also have won the live ECOSTT Main Event. A container with 100 envelopes containing cheques will be offered to the ECOSTT Main Event winner. 98 cheques will have cheques worth €1,000, 1 envelope will have a cheque worth €40,000 and 1 envelope will contain a cheque worth €1m. Only one envelope may be drawn.
27. It is each individual players’ responsibility to check the amount of days played and rake with their Operator to ensure that they are eligible for the above promotion. The decision of Ladbrokes, Unibet and NordicBet is final with regards to the amount of days played and rake generated.
28. If a player wins the ECOSTT Main Event (as above), but they haven’t played for at least 15 days in October and raked €20 per day, they still have the opportunity to win a prize winning cheque. A 2nd container with 100 envelopes containing cheques will be on offer to the ECOSTT Main Event winner who doesn’t qualify from the October promotion. 99 envelopes will have cheques worth €1,000 and 1 envelope will have a cheque worth €40,000. Only one envelope may be drawn.
29. Any additional cash bonus will be paid online directly into the players’ account.

LEGALITY, INFORMATION DISCLOSURE AND TAXATION OF WINNINGS:

Microgaming jealously guards its participants' privacy. However, there may be circumstances in which disclosure of information to regulatory or fiscal authorities is necessary or desirable, and Microgaming reserves the right to release information in such circumstances. Please note that Microgaming cannot advise on the tax position of winners, as some jurisdictions treat poker wins as tax free, while in other jurisdictions such proceeds are taxable. If the winnings are taxable in your jurisdiction, you are solely responsible to keep track of and report your winnings to the appropriate authorities. Likewise, Microgaming cannot advise on whether the playing of poker over the internet is lawful in your jurisdiction. You must establish that your participation on Microgaming is lawful in your own jurisdiction.
