Only six weeks til Vegas
The countdown is getting closer, and I’ll be more excited this year than ever before for Vegas, because of the schedule of events I’m going to play. Doing a rough schedule, I guessed that I might play about 15 events, of which only 3 are the usual no limit holdem events! The reason for this is that I started 2010 with a challenge to start the mixed games from scratch, and try to get become strong at them in time for the Series.
With time running out, the latter part of this challenge will depend on the next few weeks, as I feel that I have reached a decent level in all of StudHi,Stud8,Razz,Omaha-hi-lo, and 2-7 Triple Draw, but am now faced with the difficult challenge of kicking on and reaching the next level. With a new look to the schedule, I’m planning to do a daily video diary from Vegas, with an explanation of each new game as it comes!
I’m unfortunately missing EPT San Remo this week, and trying to keep the schedule trim in order to give myself time with the challenge. This means that I will probably only play GUKPT Manchester and EPT Monte Carlo before setting off at the end of May. Of course, the latter event is one I am relishing greatly, as spring poker madness places the biggest single event of the year just before the most crucial trip of the year.
